Renan Tennis Academy, located in Granite Bay, California, offers year-round, high-intensity tennis programs designed for players of all ages and skill levels. The academy is renowned for offering high-quality and intense tennis programs as well as numerous summer training sessions, which focus on developing juniors and kids into competitive athletes.

Meet Coach Renan Oliveira

Renan Oliveira, owner and CEO of Renan Tennis Academy, has been a prominent figure in the Granite Bay and Roseville tennis community for over eight years. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Renan began his tennis journey in his early teens, achieving the rank of #1 in his state as a junior and competing in national and IT Futures tournaments. With a current USTA rating of 5.5, he continues to compete in California tournaments when not coaching.

Renan’s coaching career began at the age of 19 in Brazil, where he quickly gained a reputation as an effective and motivational instructor. After moving to Granite Bay in 2017, he worked as a full-time pro at Gorin Tennis Academy and later joined the Lifetime, Roseville coaching staff in 2019. In 2020 he struck out on his own a year later, bringing his passion and expertise to local players, including the Granite Bay High School tennis team in 2022. In 2024 he founded RTA, the Renan Tennis Academy.

Coaching Philosophy

Coach Renan is well known for his high-energy, positive approach to coaching. He emphasizes the importance of mindset, helping students develop not only their technical, physical and tactical skills but also their mental resilience.

His goal is to inspire a lifelong love for tennis while unlocking each player’s full potential.

He has seen many of his junior players become top UTR players and Division 1 college players.
